This car was in the catalogue Brocket Hall sale in the July 1988, and I have never heard, or seen it since. What happened to it, please? Also I am looking for the catalogue of the 1986 Brocket Hall sale, when there were other MG's for sale. Does anybody have copy of that catalogue, please?

Very interesting car, it would be nice to know where it is now.
I actually saw the Brockett collection with Lord Brockett in attendance to talk about the cars. This was just before the well known legal action occurred.

Is this the same car? Silverstone 1994 in which I seem to remember Annie Templeton won the Mary Harris Trophy. Sorry about the grainey photo - pre-digital!

No this is not the same car . The car you are talking about was prepared and raced by Mike Allison when he worked at Gillies, it had been sold by the time I was working at Gillies, I believe its now in Switzerland, oliver. Ps whose the slim bloke in the beige jacket next to the blue k3?? |

The attached photo might be of interest here. It appears very similar in some details to the one you're discussing, but it's not a KN, it's an L1 and it's 1933. This is at a local hillclimb near where I live in Switzerland. The website is at the top of the picture. This is my first post to this forum. I've been interested in anything MMM since I owned a J2 in 1965 and since I moved here have been amazed at the quantity and quality of MMM machinery there is.

Just realised I called this an L1. I meant K1 (as in the caption at the bottom!). I think the Templeton car is a K1 chassis. Maybe these specials were built with KN engines, hence KN specials.

I think these are different cars - if it's a 'KN Special' then it's built on a KN chassis... |
