I just came across several photos that were taken at Silverstone in the 1960s by Roger Balsom, a previous owner of my PB Airline. Some are still on the register, some are not, and others I can't identify the car or owner. But for history's sake, I offer the following:

Hi Lew The last picture of an M Type and an M.G. 18/80 contains my MKI 18/80 Registration MG1133. During the 60s and until 1976 it was owned by Jim Bowman here in UK. He sold it in 1976 to Rod Hiley in Australia, who looked after it until 2003 when I repatriated it to UK. Still in my possession and a wonderful car to drive. Any chance of a high res copy for my file? Thanks for posting the pics. Keith |

Hello Lew, John Goodacre is in the single seat P Type. No 90 is my PA 0579 stripped to the minimum. A front wing had been damaged on the way to the Salisbury trial earlier in the year and replaced with two motor cycle wings. The PB with the external exhaust was ex Le Mans? Owned by Tony Miles. Ex Irvin Bransom I believe. Allan

The gent wearing sunglasses is Peter Ross, who competed there in a TC he still owns. |
