A friend of mine has lent me some photos of her Fathers MG M type with registration GJ 4951. I would be interested to know if it is still in existence. Regards John Tinley
Hi Sam, The album says that the photos were taken during a tour of Scotland in 1934. I will ask my friend about the colour as soon as I can. There are several more photos which I am happy to scan and email to you if you let me have your email address. Cheers John
Unfortunately I have no record or GJ 4951, however GJ 3883 had a factory date of 19 March 1930 with a chassis number 2M 1264. GJ 4545 was also a two seater, but again have no dates. GJ 4961 was owned by a D. C. Collins and was trialed extensively and has its picture reputedly at the top Simms on the 1933 Exeter Trial! However, checking the number 49 on the front and that the early number were motor bikes and then the three wheelers and the first Morgan three wheelers was number 60, it is unlikely that it was the Exeter Trial.
