Hi all, when I purchased my J2 (J.3037),the gearbox was all in bits in a cardboard box, at the time I had enough knowledge to know that the central alloy casting should be marked with the number 72, however what I did not know that the rear casting for a J2 has to have a vertical speedo drive on the top, mine alas has not, so as to avoid the use of a right angle gearbox, does anybody have a spare J2 rear gearbox casting they can sell me?

Interested to hear your requirement for a J2 gearbox rear casting. You should go onto eBay as there is a completely dismantled J2 gearbox for sale for bits. You will be able to make one good gearbox from combining the two and sell on the bits you do not need.
