Dear Forum:

I was looking on Car and Classic web site recently and came across
a MG VA 1939 Special.?
Is this car known?
The site is in German so.. can't read detailed information.
Have never seen one like it.
Modern or period special?
Who did the work and it might be worth knowing when.
Last of all; what do we think?
Seasons greeting.

Hi John

I have also noticed the advert on the www.prewarcar.com web site - in my opinion the bodywork simply looks horrible!

You need to direct your enquiry to the SVW Register.

Dear George and Forum:

That is the same car.
While, I see your point George.
I wasn't sure of background or history.
Color and body style are v. hot topics.
So... any further information please.
Thanks.

Hello John,

The VA you are talking about was -I think!- built by the German company Kranz Oldtimer-Service a few years ago. It has been for sale a few times since.
It was indeed based on the body the R.E.A.L. Carriage Works built for -presumably- 2 new J-types back in the 1930s and which they called the 'Demon'.

Apologies for the bad quality of the picture.

Regards,
Cat

P.S. I'm very much with George ...

Dear Forum:

Thank-you for latest posts.
There is another thread on the forum which helps.
Search r.e.a.l. and it comes up. There are photos too.
Also, mention of a Va in black but no other information.
There is no mention where the color photos of car is located.
A museum ? but no location.
So... anything/ more .
All the best.
