Gentlemen,

I recently saw what I believe was 2071 returned to England from a German collection. It was a stunning vehicle. Interestingly, it had two spare wheels on the rear in tandem with a very clean arrangement. Was this an option and, if so, how was it achieved ? Otherwise, is this a modification ?

Regards.

When I bought my PB 0635 it had 2 spare wheels at the rear.
A machined tubular extension with a male thread was fitted into the spare wheel lock nut hub - and it had a female thread for the original spare wheel locking nut. It was not fitted when the car was new as I can see on photos of the car pre-war.
