My local vintage car club have drawn members' attention to a National Historic Vehicle Survey being carried out by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs. Anyone interested in participating in it can find it online at http://fbhvc.co.uk/research/survey-2016/

The VSCC have also alerted their members to the survey. I'm trying to ascertain whether the MGCC are doing likewise.

I was alerted by the Wolseley club ,I started to fill it in but found it to be more and more intrusive as to values and costs so I did not complete. Geoff

Since one of the purposes of the survey is to try and assess the value of the 'old car' movement to the UK economy, I guess they need to have some financial numbers to work from. Personally I didn't find it at all intrusive but YMMV.

It seemed to take a long time to tick all the boxes on the survey, particularly when you have more than one vehicle that applies, but I agree with Simon, FBHVC need some numbers to work with, so our 'hobby' can be defended against those that see it as something to be curtailed, the best we can do is to give them the information.
