After 55-60 years being off the road L2005 is finally back on the road after a full nut & bolt restoration, but without the help of this forum it would have taken much longer.
regards
Nick

Looks absolutely beautiful.
Just curious, what's the upright bracket just behind the offside sidelight ? Wing mirror bracket ?

Hi Nick
Well done, the car looks fantastic and I am sure you will enjoy it.
The L2s have a fantastic performance for their age - the Gtis of their era! The factory records show that quite a few suffered from accident damage.![](images/icon_smile_big.gif)
In my role as sub-Registrar for the F/L/N types I would appreciate some photos of the chassis stamping on the bonnet/knuckle/guarantee plate for our records.
Regards

She looks stunning Nick! MG should have made more of them.

Well done, Nick!
I have added the two pictures to the Register's database record for your car and as George says we'd be delighted if you could please send us some additional images - although we do in fact already have a pic of the knuckle.

PS the seats etc. were made by Collingburn in Cerulean Blue leather. No better advertisement for any manufacturers of MG work than a beautifully restored MG.
