Not for real, I think all the works TAs had the numbers starting with either ABL or BBL.

According to MG Trials Cars (R Thomas) -
1937 TAs: TA0930, ABL 960 TA0932, ABL 962 TA0934, ABL 964
1938: TA EX155/2, BBL 78 TA EX155/3, BBL 79 TA EX155/4, BBL 80 TA EX155/5, BBL 81
So just a tad "creative" with that one.

Doesn't this show the need to properly log and record all "re-creations" so that in time they are not presented as the real thing.

I owned the 1936 TA which was done for the 7 day trial of Ireland. VA engine etc etc... reg AJB71 This number appears on pictures of other "photographic" 1936 MGs. I think it is now in the USA. Was daily work transport for years in the 60's. Put a 'leg out of bed ' one morning so acquired a replacement engine from Archway Engineering....was nothing like the one in the car....thats when I started to find out it was not standard! Maisie and myself went on our honeymoon in it.....camping in Cornwall.....magic memories. Sorry guys I didn't have a Triple M car then..... that didn't happen till a small blue s/c car seemed to be in my way at MGCC Silverstone.... I was racing an MGA Twincam.....looked for one of those but seemed rare so after much searching found the RAT. FOZ |

The very same car and driver.... later replaced by an un/sc Black car that kept getting in the way... had to resort to a BIG s/c and methanol to get away! FOZ |

Hopefully the work the Register is doing will be a start on just that - but we can't possibly know what everybody is up to!
In any case, a TA Cracker had a cream body and brown wings, no brown on the bonnet...
