Can someone please tell me the correct route for the positive battery cable to the starter switch.

There's some info if you open "Documents Download - Technical - Chassis - P-Type chassis clip & Firewall details".
This may help.

Thankyou Bruce, that confirms that it is on the offside but doesn't show where the clips are attached. I am guessing that they are on the same bolts as the fuel pipes, is that correct?

As the diagram that Bruce mentions the cable runs and is clipped UNDER the NEAR SIDE chassis rail.
