Andrew Morland organised the'Team Flying Tortoises plus Turtle' raid to this super event. We even matched the number of chain gang Nashes this year. The weather was glorious, the competion keen but friendly and the social side marvellous.

Fabulous weekend..... Practise runs, family swim in the sea, un pression ou deux, BBQ'd Entrecote, Calvados, camping and then do it all again the next day. Superb hill, must be over a mile long with great views across the valley between Etretat and Boneuville. The sun shone, the mayor greeted us, bottle of cider presented with our race numbers and everyone a winner at prize giving. History will record that there was no catching Mr. Moorland, no doubt enthused after his recent promotion to 'Lead driver' of the Flying Tortoise team at Pembrey, who showed us all the way in the L type...a great drive which beat all but one of the Frazer Nashes too ! All excellent........

Yes, a great weekend and didn't we all do well?! It was great getting so many MMM owners to come to the Etretat Hill Climb. It was a fun and sociable weekend with the bonus of the best weather in 10 years. Everyone performed well with super reliable cars, only Chris's 'C' developing a poorly diff on the last run but manageing to finish at a 'Tortoise' pace! The team front runners were quicker than 5 Frazer Nash's, an Aston and an Alfa 6C 1750. The road sweeper rather impolitely even got ahead of the J2. The Course de Cote FFSA results:- 1.14,41 L1 Tourer 1.15,28 Duncan 'C' 1.18,31 Cadman 'C' 1.25,06 Rachel 'P' 1.26,29 Barry 18/80 1.30,51 Phil J2 I had the advantage over the 'C' Types having been up the hill 50 times in the last 10 years!I think I might buy a new hat for next year! Andrew
