Brass SU tops are tope only..... no dampers in these orig. SUs.

Those are "ram pipes" for increasing the intake of air. They too are available from Burlen, but I'm not sure they have the ones that fit the 1 inch carbs.

If you fit trumpets you are likely to significantly alter the conditions at the jet and may well need new needles. To get the best a trip to a good rolling road emporium might well be cost effective.

To be honest it was more an aesthetic decision as it seems to finish off the look of the carburettors...!
