Just stumbled across (and bought) this book which contains contributions from HN Charles, George Eyston, Cecil Kimber and others:

Motor Racing edited by Lord Howe, published by The Lonsdale Library.

There are two editions of the Lonsdale Library book. The first was published in August 1939 and is numbered volume 27 - it was reprinted at least twice, in 1947 and 1951. The second (rarer) edition is numbered volume 33 and has some different content, although some was carried over from the first edition.
