I think Witham Military Sales closed bidding was on Sunday. Did anyone see the final offer, or know the outcome?
Thanks

At £3,100 when I looked on the Saturday (that's £3720 including tax) - nearly fell of my chair!

I'll find out.

Dear Hugh and all,
My bid of £3100 was successful and I am the very proud owner of J2192. Mine was the only bid to exceed the reserve.
Please feel free to call me crazy, but I love the history behind it and the J2 is my dream project. It will be a long term project - I'm hoping to bring it back to life in 12 years time and the plan is to enter the VSCC Honister Slate Mine trial as I live in beautiful Cumbria.
I'm looking forward to joining the Triple M Register and keeping everyone up to date.
With best wishes,
Rob Paisley

Dear Robert

Hearty congratulations on taking on what is an undoubted challenge! We wish you well with it.

The Register exists to assist owners in these and other circumstances and you would be amazed at the number of resurrections that have been achieved.

John Emmett is the registrar for the J2s and I daresay he will be in touch with you to obtain your details and those of the car. John's contact details are at the top of this website under the 'contacts' heading.

More anon, no doubt!

Not enough stars for food- Paul, you seem to be the only person I know that will only eat in Michelin restaurants.

Hang on Kevin, it was just the first word that came into my head with 4 letters starting with F and ending with D! But we do have a Michelin star place (couldn't spell restaurant) in our village, and the nearest I have got is to press my nose against the window, drooling slightly, but never been inside. What would you do, buy a new steel crank for your MG or have a nice steak and bottle or so of red? Easy choice really.
Happy Christmas down under.
Paul.
