Hi George,Peter and all,
At the workshop for 5am but car 29 had been delivered to the Premier Inn in Melton Mowbray at 2! Andy is collecting Philipp now and may know more about the id later on....may know more about their issues too!
We see that the Robertsons are now back on the online scoring and hope they can now complete the trial.Not too sure quite how many more miles they will have added to the 1,000 with all their efforts to keep PB0631 going!

Stop Press....MG K3 Special Car 29 has left the workshop and is on the way to re-join the event in Winchester tonight ready for day 5. Diff issue - swapped the diff for an original KN from our car which is a dramatically different ratio! It will take them a lot of revs to do the 160 miles from here!

Hot off the press: -
The MG Octagon Car Club offers its congratulations to Paul Crosby and Ali Proctor being declared the provisional winners of the ‘RAC 1000 Mile Trial’ that ended today. (Friday 14th July). Crosby in his supercharged 1939 MG TB ran out the eventual winner by 10 secs over Stuart Anderson/Leigh Powley in a Bentley 4 1/4 litre whilst in third place was Bill Cleyndert/Dan Harrison in a Bently 3/4.5 litre. Other MGs entered were the Hagerty crew of Angus Forsyth/Marcus Atkinson in a K2 in 23rd place 20mins 43 secs down on the winners. Philipp Leibund/Carl-Gustav Mez in a K3 Special finished 46th overall 96 mins 22 secs down. The five day event started from Windsor on Monday and finished today at Woodcote Park near Epsom. Paul had been placed in the top three for most of the event, leaving his charge until today to win the event. This is another great success for the crew in their little MG TB, they won the ‘Flying Scotsman Rally’ earlier this year. It is fantastic to see an MG T type winning major classic rallies in the U.K.#128513;"
