I don't know if any of you have been following the progress of this event on the net, but it was obviously some adventure, its a shame some of you wealthy retired triple M owners never gave it a shot. I could see Paul and Valeire Duncombs driving over the steps of Mongolia in thier P type. A client of mine Robert Abrey and his Wife Jane completed the adventure in his 1929 4 1/2 ltr Le-Mans Bently gaining a Gold medel finishing 11th overall and 5th in class. He said that they never had one cross word! Ol Yer!!

In view of the outstanding success of the Austin Chummy in completing the route (without team backup) in the hands of Annabel Jones, the truth of the statement that;

'You buy a car but invest in an Austin'

is evident.
