As you most probably saw I am selling parts to clear my worhshop as I had trouble with a leaking roof.
During the sale some people showed their intrest in the same parts.
For me I tought it being fair to allow the parts to go to the person from which I got or saw the notification of intrest first. Several people accepted this as being OK.
Now someone blames me of not being fair as he sends me mails in which he further attaches times with which he means to prove that his notificationg being posted 15 minutes before the other person.
Is it reasonable to expect from someone who is selling parts to start an investigation on who's notification came first.
What are the rules here?
I thought being fair enough by offering via the forum and not via E-bay.
Paul These are your parts - you can sell them to whoever you wish. If you think that a person was the first - then he/she should get them Tell the moaner to look elsewhere. If you are wanting to buy parts/cars etc - then the worse thong you can do is to upset the vendor!
I agree with Tony, if you are happy you have done the right thing then that should be enough. You can't please everybody. If this person is making your life difficult just say no, ain't worth the sweat.
+1 with Tony. A couple of years ago I missed out on some items because the email from the vendor offering them to me ended up in my spam folder and by the time I had realised this he had sold the items to someone else, assuming that I wasn't interested as I hadn't replied. My problem, not his.
Paul, don't worry about it.I'm with Tony and everyone else. These things happen, delays with email servers etc, but in the end they were your parts to sell to who you wanted to.
