Does anybody know a source in the UK for 1 1/2" ground round thickwall steel? I need a piece about 2 feet long for my gearbox. Alternatively does anybody have a spare second hand original shaft? Thanks Rod
When I needed a cross tube for an ENV box (same Dia.but shorter) got a 3ft offcut from my local steel stockist. Can't remember what I paid but it was a lot less than the cost of a 3M length.
Rod, I have some 1 1/2 inch tube suitable for your need. It isn't ground and is slightly rusty but fits the end castings perfectly, I used it last year for the same purpose. Conact me by E-Mail.
