The book 'MG Collectables ' has many illustrations of early MG catalogues and brochures.

Example of MG font...... stamped into the clutch plates of the Rat.....
wonder how much the efficiency is reduced by them?

Nice little addition there Foz thanks.

Any photos at any race would be the perfect find...anything from Brooklands?

Bit like the factory photos like the one I just googled below!

One thing to note in the above lettering is that the M and G are joined at the top and bottom.

ETA Oxford to Abingdon has a lot of information about early advertising, brochures etc with somewhere mention of the different typeface (fonts) used.

Didn't M.G. use Grace, Space and Pace or something very similar prior to SS and Jaguar nicking it.
Surely M.G.'s most famous slogan was "You can do it in an M.G."

Am surprised that the MG logo is still visible in the Fox clutch plate. Would have thought that they would have been worn flat a long time ago. ?!

Wow thanks guys these are fabulous and just what I was looking for..

Ross I would love a closer look, especially the third set you have posted.

Also love the M Type ad, certainly very relevant with next years 90th.

Yes, you are right, but somewhere I found an earlier version of the ad that did not talk about earlier racing seasons. The text was updated but the same drawing used.
