I am searching for parts for my very early wiper motor.
Does anyone specialise in these early wiper motors?

I used to rebuild these wipers for people, but have all but given up as I could no longer find replacement parts. Vintage Supplies has a few things like replacement armatures. The most common problems were grease in the gearbox which had gone hard. If left that way, it would eventually burn up the shunt winding on the armature. The field coils would eventually follow. Brushes can be cut from a larger brush.

Well here's a British masterpiece, the brushes are riveted into their holders, no springs needed here!

Another nightmare restoration.

Hi Moth eaten

Try Solent Tools in the UK they are on the Internet and I have purchased brushes from them for my PB wiper motor.

Suggest that you measure up the holder size before checking their site as they have all sorts of brushes and I think that you may end up filing down brushes to fit.

Good Luck
