News has just reached us of the death John Joynes.

John was a worthy contributor to the Register and the Committee for many years. Initially he was editor of the Infoletter (the precursor of the present Bulletin) from 1986 until 2000 after which Philip Bayne-Powell took over as Bulletin Ed.

John was also Registrar from 1988 until 1996 when Charlie Hayter succeeded him.

He certainly did his bit!

John's funeral is at the church of St Peter and St Paul, Hele Lane, South Petherton, Somerset TA13 5TQ this Wednesday 17th of April at 1.30. Barry Foster and Mike Dalby will be attending and we are sure that other Triple-M friends will be most welcome.

So sorry to hear that John has gone. His answers to my questions regarding the Registrar's job helped me to decide to take over the reins from Charlie in 2000.

John had a good send off, and there were a number of MG people there!
