Does anyone know if there any pre sewn /pre cut kits available for the M type body and if so from whom?

Hi Trevor,
Don't think anyone does a kit, it is not really practical because the tails, where the sewn joint is,are all different. Definitely better to tailor the fit to suit your car. The rest is just off the roll, paper patterns to assist cutting are a good idea.
Regards,
Garry

Hi Trevor, you want a material like Everflex from Martrim, Google them.
Then use www.localsearch24.co.uk to find your nearest Car Trimmer & Upholsterer.

Like Garry say's, it's a pain without the car that I wouldn't have access to and I don't know the variations in M bodies so I can't sew it or would want to. Why didn't they just paint them? Instead of creating all that extra work.
Cheers James.

Thanks for the reply.
As you say, paper pattern first for the area/shape needed.

I have alot of sailmakers down my way so I'll ask one of them if they can sew the seam.

Good idea for martrim

I'm sure Dulux on the wooden body would not be the first time its been used...... if I decide to paint it

Trevor,
My body is painted with Dulux beneath the fabric. I did this to ensure that if the fabric ever got punctured the water ingress would not rot the ply underneath.
Good luck,
Keith
