Hello, Forum.

Whilst with me in the garage today, my young six year old grandson picked up a cardboard template which I was intending to use to reproduce a steel panel for my N type.
‘ What’s this for grandad ?’ came the question. On explaining, as I thought, what it was, Harry exclaimed, ‘ Oh, your’e not building a cardboard MG now are you?’

Thought I would share that with you !

It seems to me that (bearing in mind the "where have all the young people gone" thread) Grandad needs to put his hand in his pocket and buy something like this...

Thanks for that, Kevin.

Having just completed a ‘Lego’ speedboat which anyone who has built one of these will tell you, requires every ounce of ingenuity , no more projects for the foreseeable future please !!
( I will stick to simple jobs like building prewar MGs!! )

Kevin, according to the DVLA, the real version of that cardboard model, registration EMM818, is still listed, though not on the road, and is a 1937 Green Morris 8.

Ha, I didnt get as far as opening the photos to tell :-)

The point is the same though. I had "models of yesteryear" as a kid and they led me to the bigger versions

I wonder if they make a cardboard model bus complete with slogan on the side?

Doesn't the firm that makes baby powder make them, can't remember their name, I think it begins with a J.

Are you going to Prewar Prescott or VSCC Prescott (Sunday)?

I was wondering if your grandson might like to have this model and if so what would be a convenient way of getting it to you.

I afraid that it is not on the K3 register. Peter applies the rules very strictly. So he politely turned down my application. However I do not give up easily so I filed an appeal with the Register Coordinator. Unfortunately the rules of this forum do not allow me to repeat Barny's reply. So it remains a Replica.

Hello, Peter.

That’s very kind of you. If you were able to send it in a box I would be only too pleased to pay the postage.

I will Email off line with my address if alright with you.

( very disappointed that the car wasn’t accepted by the register ! )

Thanks again.

Thanks for that, Nigel.

Colin McLachlin already identified this as a Morris. (See above)

I have now received the Nuvolari K3 model kindly received from Peter today and I must say Harry and I are delighted with it ! ( Thanks again, Peter !)

Thanks to all contributors.
