The Welsh Hills Tour will no doubt get a worthy write up elsewhere however huge thanks to Ian and Isobel Goddard, Chris and Lynda Little and Jon Glenny for organising a fabulous 3 days in, around and over the Brecon Beacons.
The sun shines on the righteous and so it did for Friday and Saturday. Two drives had been meticulously planned from The Metropole Hotel in Llandrindnod Wells. An 85 mile loop to the west including a 2 hour ride on the narrow gauge Vale of Rheidol Railway to Aberystwyth. The Southern loop 115 miles with a tour of Big Pit coal mine. The 60 Triple-M cars attending split into two groups alternating the days. Saturday evenings gala dinner had a Welsh male voice choir sing for us. A short 35 mile drive to Stokesay Castle planned for Sunday morning. As the weather had turned and Stokesay was to the east and the direction of home many ( though not all) chose to load their cars onto a trailer and visit en route.
A few pictures attached hoping others may do the same.
Many thanks once again.
Tim and Clare.
