I bought a new bicycle a couple of years ago from the small specialist bike shop close to where I live. The proprietor is a guy called Chris Lloyd and we discovered we had a mutual interest in old motor cars.
It transpired that Chris's father had owned a pre-war MG in the 1950s but that's all Chris could remember. I asked if there were any photos and after a couple of weeks I received a couple of 1950s pics of an M type. When I saw the registration number, I was amazed to recognise it as a car I had owned myself 10 years ago. I took it on as an abandoned project and made a lot of progress with it before selling it to my pal Hugh Barnes, aka 'Orstin' on this forum.
All credit to Hugh as he completed the rebuild and it turned out to be a really nice example which went particularly well (especially after Ollie Richardson had worked his magic on the power unit).
From Hugh, the car went to Triple M stalwart Keith Hall where it now resides.
Chris's dad was staggered to learn that his old car still exists and a reunion successfully took place a few weeks ago.
Just thought it was a nice story.
Ahh.....

That is a super story, and of course the car(2M0985) is on the database with a lot of pictures. I will put these on as well! The car was taken up Wiscombe Hill Climb in the 1960s by a friend of mine, who has since passed away, but I still see his family! "Small world" as they say!
