I have been going to the winter driving tests for many, many years, and have always enjoyed them sometimes competing and some times marshalling and sometimes just spectating. Sadly last year I went and you couldn't see much of the tests, mostly behind a wire fence or miles away on the other side of the airfield, and it can be cold, so sadly this year for the first time for 20+ years no winter driving tests for me.

It was great fun, thanks. Perfect slippery conditions and sunshine as well. I’m afraid I won’t be troubling the engravers as I went the wrong way on one test and also overshot a ‘stop’ on another but a very enjoyable day. My car developed a misfire on the last 3 tests which turned out to be.....petrol tank empty!

It was a hoot, a fun day. agree the far side is a pain to watch, much better to enter.
