I thought some members might appreciate seeing some M-Types from Australia & New Zealand.

Here is 2M1468 currently under restoration.

More cars to follow, and maybe others can share too ?.

Nearest to camera is 2M2551, then M1524, M1523, 2M0872, 2M3328 & 2M2040.

M1523 & M1524 left the factory as "chassis only" exports to Australia and were bodied in Brisbane, Queensland in 1930/31.
The bodies are similar, but not identical.

Cheers

Here is 2M3440 - Ex NZ, used in Round-The-Houses Events in WA in the 1990's, and spent some time in Peter Briggs's Motor Museum before moving across the country to Queensland and now with it's 5th owner in Australia.

Reviewing the Australian List last week reveals there are now 30 M-Types in Australia, not too shabby.

Here is another "Down Under M" - 2M2737

Another Down Under M-Type is 2M2123 - a much seen car in the 90's but not for some time now, it was rebuilt in the C-Type style, but now has a"factory body". This is a photo when it carried the "C-Type" body.

Ignore my last post - that image is a C-Type replica on a J chassis - NOT 2M2123. Same owner however.

You live & learn.

It is always a lot of work to put together pictures and contributions.
Thanks for that.
Greetings from Austria/Europe to Australia.

So this is 2M2123 - sold at Shannon's Auctions in 2010 and has not been seen since, so wondering if it's still in Australia ?.
