I'm saddened to hear today that my Swedish 'penfriend' Gabriel, passed away in the early hours of 3rd June. He had not been well for some months.

Gabriel owned three Triple-M cars and a TC.

I shall miss our communications, with him using his 'Swinglish' (as he termed it).

RIP Gabriel.

Very sad news,

I was often in touch with Gabriel as was Our long time previous Registrar Bob Clare. Gabriel was kind enough to provide quite a lot of info relating to Triple-M cars in Sweden.

The record shows he owned at various times an L1, two J1s and two M types.

As John has mentioned - RIP Gabriel.

Sad news indeed. Gabriel was a fine ambassador for the Triple-M world and was always ready with guidance and advice whenever requested.

It was almost 60 years ago when Gabriel bought an M-type from my father. I believe they exchanged Christmas cards up until my father's death 3 years ago. The M type was one that my father bought part-restored and we had to collect the new body from a coffin-makers down a central Cambridge side-street, which created some amusement as we carried it down the street.

I believe the photo shows the car arriving in Sweden. Presumably Gabriel in the foreground?

Our condolences to his family.
