The arrangements for Siverstone are all but finalised.
We plan to have 2 L2's on display in the marquee with a further 3 cars displayed in our dedicated Triple-M parking area which, subject to dry weather, will be on the grass area in front of the marquee. The display will include 2 very historic L2's
There is a back up parking plan should the grassed area be soggy.
All L types will be able to take part in parade laps at 12pm on Saturday, there will also be a parade/commentary for L types in the Arena area on Sunday.
I and 4 very kind volunteers will be policing our car parking area and we will be able to assist those who wish to take part in the parade laps - passengers permitted and no crash helmets required but everyone will have to sign on and wear arm bands.
All we need now is good weather and a really good turnout of L types.
Silverstone 2008 has now passed and I would like to publicly thank all those L type owners who brought their cars - we had about 15 in total, including the ultra rare L1 salonette, which I think must be the highest number of L's ever at MGCC Silverstone. It was also a pleasure to see the 4 cars from Belgium.
A special thanks is also due to John Clark, Jonathen Wilson, David Stansbie, Arnaud Jacobs and Malcolm Newman for agreeing to have their lovely cars in the display.
