Ian Ross runs his excellent F Type Register.
I seem to remember someone else has taken on a similar task for the J Types...
I have just met a former J2 owner, MG????, when I receive the missing numbers I would like to look it up...
I have the 2017 MMM Register and can make do with that but would like to be able to report back to the gentleman with as much info as possible...
Can anyone direct me to this J register please?

John Emmett is the MMM J type registrar, contact details listed on this website. When you have the details just let me and/or John know and we can look it up.

i.e., look from the 'Home' screen, look in 'Contacts' and you will find the Registrar for J Types:
J2 John Emmett john.r.emmett@btinternet.com

Ok. The car was MG2730, a red J2 and sold circa 1960 to a Stanley someone... no photos.
The 2017 register does not show it so I presume it is a "sleeper"
sorry to have raised expectations.

Hello Peter, MG 2730 is the reg of J3509.
Present owner n/k, nor I think do we have the names or any previous owners other than the very first owner, a Mr. J W Battey of Wembley Park in Sept 1933.
The Triple-M Register keeps detailed records of all known surviving cars. Our registrar of the J2s is John Emmett - his details are on the Contacts page at https://www.triple-mregister.org/contacts.asp
I'm sure John (and the Register) would like to establish contact with this previous owner, as it may add worthwhile knowledge to this car's recorded history.
As the car has been under the radar since the Register was fgounded in 1961 it has never been accorded a Triple-M Rergister number.

The car was swapped for an MG TA at Stanley Richardson's at Stoke Poges.
The description of Richardson's sounds just like the outfit at Staines... |
