I have now had the su carburetor for my front Godfrey blower on P type discussed some while ago on he forum...I found an SU specialist en Gers dépt 2.5 hours from me in sw France....He rebuilt the carb. It needed a correct spindle as the other had too long a slot so Gagarin gaps at each side plus wrong butterfly. Now rebuilt and fitted, a lovely tickover at 10/ 11 tours and behaves delightfully....
So can now enjoy finishing running in and use when summer does arrive.
I have fitted a lambda sensor in the external exhaust so with gauge can see the running mixture ...
( it was running on methanol with hose jets needles for circuits bso wasn't a problem of 2000 tick over but not suitable for road use.... now it is a delight...
