The 2021 Hampton Court Palace, Concours of Elegance takes place 3-5th September.
One of the UK's most prestigious car shows, each year it endeavours to display 60 of the rarest cars in the world.
Complementing the main display are hundreds of other fine motor cars including entrants to the Club trophy now in its seventh year. For the first time the Triple-M Register has an invitation to bring along 20 cars on Saturday 4th September.
The event takes place in the gardens of Hampton Court Palace. The main event around the lake; the Club cars positioned along the adjoining tree lined avenues.
Our cars do not have to be concours condition. Oily rag; well patinated are all acceptable and perhaps of more interest. Pre-War cars are usually represented at this event by other well known marques with a price tag well beyond the average enthusiast. Arguably we offer the affordable end of Pre-War motoring and with an eye on where the next generation of custodians for our cars may come from this is an ideal opportunity to display our wares and engage with the public.
Having attended for the past few years I can vouch that it's a fabulous day out. Food outlets are onsite though it's also acceptable to bring a picnic, chairs or a blanket and sit on the lawn. Perhaps a Triple-M picnic? There is also an upmarket craft fair.
The Club cars are expected to assemble in a field at Stud Gate 815-830am. There is free parking here for a tow car and trailer if needed. From there the cars drive in convoy through the grounds to be marshalled into position for the day. The event officially begins to wind up at 530pm though one often sees Club entries start home from 4pm.
The entry fee is £50 for car and driver plus £25 for each passenger. This includes entry into the Palace.
There is a small convoy of cars leaving early from Peter Green's house in Farnham Royal should anyone wish to join the 20 mile (40 minute) journey. We could perhaps have other meet up locations?
