So if we had bought the collection we could have copied it and sold it on perhaps...
I would certainly help with an archive if we created one, but a bit old and senile so would need watching!!!
Cheers

Does anybody know the names of the drivers of these two MGs ? . If the Mere Corner mentioned is the one in Cheshire , which l am sure l recognise from the photo , l am surprised the Abingdon Trial came this far north . Can our trials experts advise please . |

Ray, there is some information in Roger Thomas’ book on MG Trials Cars, pages 73, 74 and 76. Also the 1938 Route Card. John R |

According to my information, in the 1937 Abingdon to Abingdon trial, ALG 906 was driven by a J. Terras, and ANE 641 was driven by J. H. Clent.

Mike. Thank you for those drivers names . Jack Terras had owned the PB no. BTU 260 which I raced for a number of years back in the 1960s & 70s . Both cars are registered fairly local to me viz. Cheshire and Manchester so was interested to know the names of the drivers . Can’t say l know of J H Clent though .

Cat. Thanks for posting this interesting report of the Chilterns Trial. I think l have seen the name Guest mentioned before but cannot remember where . He must have had some ‘ form ‘ for him to be asked to join the two regulars in the Nor’WesterTrials team. |
