In the middle of L Type restoration.
The wooden body frame is in reasonable condition and a skilled carpenter has agreed to bring it back to as original condition. The car is off to him in the next few days for him to work his magic. He lives in the Stockport area and has asked me if there are any L2 owners near him who might be able to allow him, if needed, to inspect their car for reference purposes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Michael, I have had a look on our database of cars and owners and have not come up with any L type owners in the Stockport or wider Cheshire area...

Are j2/F2/l2 body tubs not similar if it helps broaden the range of local cars available?

There is an F2 in Doncaster - F1441 - Terry Wilson....

Other than that, all I can see in and around Stockport is a selection of M,J and Ps...

Thank you Dick and Phil.
Are we sure about the J2 being the same because if so he can use my J2 which is also the same year 1933. I can check it myself of course but just wondered if this is a known fact by the experts out there. I've been told that the L2 is in fact a J2 but with a 6 cyl engine instead of 4 and a longer bonnet.
Thanks again
Michael

Hi Michael,

body of a J2 and L2 basicly the same,
the only difference is, the L2 body has a bulge on the inner
wheel arch to get enough room for 12 inch brake plates.

cheers
