Can anyone assist with a .pdf file of the race report from 'The MaGazine' for the 1935 TT race where 3 MG Magnettes were entered? I have the race report of the '34 TT.

Furthermore, is there anywhere one can search for any race footage of both the '34 and '35 TT Races?

I was fortunate enough to be forwarded a clip of Norman Blacks #42 C-Type winning the '31 Ulster TT - MaGic

Thanks in advance.

Peter,

The last edition of 'The MaGazine' was March 1935.

Thanks Peter, that explains why I couldn't find it. What MG magazine followed 'The MaGazine', was it Safety Fast!...?

There were four K3s in the 1935 TT. Three entered by Scuderia Evans for Kenneth Evans, Denis Evans and Dick Seaman and the fourth by Belfast press heir Bobbie Baird.

No film of the 1934 TT seems to exist. As I'm sure you're aware, there's nothing in the Path? archive. The LAT Online Archive has a couple of MG pictures from 1934.

According to BUND:

http://www.bufvc.ac.uk/databases/newsreels/index.html

there is brief footage of 1935 in both the Movietone and Universal archives, but neither of these is available on-line.

And I know it's not quite what you're looking for, but I found a couple of pictures of Goldie Gardner's J4 crash in 1932 in the German Ullsteinbild Archive:

The picture of the Gardener crash is not a J4 but his C type in the 1932 Ulster TT. the car is now owned by Dave Cooksey

Thanks Vitesse for the informative reply.

I may mention that the brother's Evans and Seaman drove un-supercharged MG NE Magnettes, not K3's, and the Evans brothers and Seaman carried race numbers 23, 24 & 25. Seaman finished 10th, Baird 12th, also in a Magnette, and Ken Evans 13th. Seaman was all of 22 years old at the time, but on 25th June 1939, he was killed in Francorchamps at age 26.

Brain fade .... the '35 race was of course the one where blowers were banned. And I knew that ....

It was also the race where pit-to-car radio was going to be tried for the first time. Reports seem to suggest that it was less than impressive, the experiment being ended when someone (I believe Seaman) "accidentally" reversed a car into the transmitter ....
