Next year, 2023, is an 90th anniversary year for some important models in the Triple-M lineup. It is also the start of 100th anniversary celebrations marking the arrival of what is recognised as the first MGs. A good excuse for a party maybe?
Several of you have been asking what the Register is doing to recognise these events. Here's a suggestion for you to ponder.
All of us enjoy taking part in touring events, so how about having a, say, three or four-day touring event based in and around that beautiful county of Suffolk? It's a beautiful part of our country, rich in culture, with easily navigable highways and byways, hills, coastline and much more to enjoy.
Would an event like this appeal to our members? Do please let us know.
And here is the big question: in order to have a successful event we would need to have people with boots on the ground, local knowledge, energy and enthusiasm to help support the committee in putting things together.
So, having flagged up this possibility could I encourage you to let us know how you feel about an event of this type and importantly whether you might be in a position to help us organise it.
Thank you!

Thanks Mike, nothing is ruled out so I'll keep that thought in mind.
In the meantime is anybody else interested? Needs more than two of us to make up a tour!

Dick, I think Suffolk and indeed Norfolk, is a great idea. Hopefully by next year even we "less brave" ones will feel able to come and play.
Are there any thoughts yet as to what time of year this might be?
Cheers,
Dave |

I would be interested in taking part in such a tour. I'm afraid I can't be much help in the organising as now based in Scotland.

Sounds like a great part of the world to tour around. Hopefully my usual touring buddy will be up for this too. |

Dick , that sounds great. Unfortunately I cannot help with any organizing from deepest Somerset. When are you going to stick a pin in the calender for a date ? |

I am definitely interested in a tour of Suffolk. We were beaten to it this year byt the VSCC who had their Suffolk Tour a month ago, and entrants included a K3. I did not enter however, due to other commitments.

Yes, interested in Suffolk/Norfolk. We are an hour or so away from the likely start of any action, but could possibly help in the north west of the territory, bordering Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire if used. Regards, David j3768 |

Hi Dick, I'd be interested in a Register Tour of Suffolk, as it's one part of the UK we haven't done yet. Timing of your post is apt as I only returned late yesterday from a three day tour to the Lake District with the Pre-War Austin 7 guys in glorious weather. Now back into organising our own (MGCC Yorkshire) three day tour of the Wolds in October this year to commemorate the Club's 92nd Anniversary (full details on this website). All Triple-M's welcome - 9 already entered . Terry.

Suffolk is a bit far away for me these days, but, Barny could organise a Dumfries & Galloway tour that I would love to join - perhaps 2024?

The Rhins and Machars with a base at Portpatrick would certainly make for a great tour.

As my car was first registered in Stranraer I'm sure she would love to go home for her 90th birthday!
