Does anyone have a DS4 distributor surplus to requirements? perhaps someone who has replaced theirs with a VW or similar distributor?

Thanks in advance.

Let me check, Ian. I may still have one from 2M1281.

Hi, Ian,

I have the distributor shown surplus to my requirements. It was sold as a J2 distributor but lacks the ID plate. Does anyone recognize which model this is?

Cheers,
Dan

Hello Ian

The DS4 went with the Minor, also the standard sump. So I would give Tony Gamble a call.

Dan, that looks like a DJ4.

Halbe, good to hear from you and thanks for that. Are you receiving my e-mails?

Correction, it looks more like a DKH4A, basically a DJ4 with automatic advance, used in the mid thirties.

I think you were right first time, Ian. The points and baseplate are definitely not from a DK4 and 'H' just signifies horizontal plug lead outlets, not vertical as in the photo; it has no significance in relation to the workings of the distributor.

Thanks Simon, didn't know the H stood for horizontal either.
