I have been asked by a pal in Texas to establish from you knowledgable lot wether threads on a J1 engine are metric or not

Metric? Zut, quelle horreur !

I thought all threads on our engines were BSF - or am I about to reveal publicly yet another gap in my knowledge?

The rocker clamp screws are 2BA !!!.All other threads are BSF

I think there are some Whitworth threads too, perhaps on hood fittings...
