This is the Rev Counter that came with my J2… I know this was used in Wolseley Hornet Specials, but did MG ever supply this when a deluxe version was ordered from the factory?
The De Luxe package did not include a rev counter but one could of course be ordered. Mine was supplied with a Speedometer Supply Co. one although presumably the factory might have supplied one like yours.
Hi, my J3 had a Smiths tacho just like this, from at least the early 1960s. I, too, believe it was the type supplied by Wolseley for the Hornet Special, so would have been available from the Morris group parts bin. Regards, David
