I know it has been asked for before (thanks Colin)but Nev Churcher is still looking for an Arnott Oil tank for his J3.
If anyone has or knows of one for sale it would be appreciated. Please PM me.
TIA

As this is obviously a source problem, why not get the motor cycle boys to fabricate an exact copy. Good luck, Nick.

Hi Mmm Gee,
I had one but it is long gone. From memory it was a cube about 4 inches square with a screw on airtight cap. It was fed at the top from the inlet manifold at boost pressure. The outlet, also on the top had an internal dip tube, and an adjustable needle valve so one could set the prescribed drip feed of oil to the centre of the supercharger, so not just a tank. This arrangement gave a greater oil supply when most needed. Alternatively, take an oil feed from the pressure rail again through a needle valve or fixed orifice as Mr Shorrock did.
Regards,
David

There is one on J3772 with an Arnott s/c. I can photo and measure if that helps.

Let me know what you need in the way of images and measurements.

I too have an Arnott without oil feed. Any photos, information or the actual item would be most appreciated.

John.

Thank you Ian. The delay will not slow my restoration. My Arnott is a 1600, which might be too large for 746cc. What are size Arnott are you running and what boost does it provide at engine speed?

John.
