Hello Nick, How much of this mesh are you looking for ? I have a small amount of this and if all you need is some to make a repair I might be able to help. Cheers Mike.

Hi Nick, The wire that I have is shown in the attached picture. I am fairly certain its the original pattern. Four pieces 18" long and a few smaller pieces between 4" and 6" long, some of which I would like to keep. I could spare a couple of pieces if this would help you with your repair, it has a central groove on one side and is approx 1/16" wide. Contact me via email off forum to discus. Cheers, Mike.

Mark, It is nickel silver, a quick search turns up with; https://www.chaplin-wire.co.uk/formoptions.html but there are plenty of others. Jewellers roll sections like this from round or flat using a simple hand roller. Just remember to anneal the wire frequently.
It does seem to get brittle with age, but silver solder repairs are pretty invisible.

OK, it's the nickel - - - that also explains for me, why the radiator mesh of our MMM car is very slightly magnetic ! Gerhard |

Hi Mark, Afraid not, my spare wire came from one of our German MMM friends quite some time ago when I was repairing my L2 rad mesh. Cheers, Mike.
