I have been lent four bound volumes of this magazine. It makes fascinating reading, which I have read from cover to cover over the last month. It is particularly interesting as the magazine covers all types of speed - racing, records, flying, boats. The difference from the the first issue to the last in April 1939, shows a lot of naivety about the pending political situation. I intending post here several interesting advert of cars we know !

If anybody wants me to look at specific dates, of for example race results, please contact me. It appears the magazine merged into Motor Sport. Many of the well known writers were involved in the magazine, so I don’t know why it only lasted 4 years.

Dear John
You have very historical magazines!
I am very interested in the magazines with reports about my Parnell-MG K3 (K3009).
Reg Parnell was the owner and also racer during that period, but also the following:
- R.M. Mere (1933)
- H.C. "Hugh" Hamilton (1934)
- R.T. Horton (1934 - 1935)
- Reg Parnell (1935 - 1939)
- W.G. Everitt (1938 - Driver / Entrant Parnell)
- A.F. Cuddon-Fletcher (1938 - Driver / Entrant Parnell)
- I.H. Nickols (1939 - 1949)
I'm sure there are many reports and race results!
Is there any way you could provide me with these articles or magazines?
I am pleased to pay something for it.
Could you please get in touch with me by email (roland@wettstein.info)?
Many thanks and best regards,
Roland

Hello Roland, I thought you were going to reply !!

I will take a look through the magazines again for any news of your lovely car.

Unfortunately, I cannot give away or even sell the magazines, as I have only borrowed them. In fact the owner keeps asking for them back,

If I find anything else about your car I will copy or photograph for you.

Please be patient, as there are about 40 magazines. There are a few missing.

Best wishes
John

This is an interesting advert that first appears in a 1935 issue, the MG K3 is listed at £450, it does not sell and by 1937 it is £250, but in 1938 the price goes up to £275 !
I guess the physiology is put it up as price looks too low so puts people off. Anyway it works as next issue it is sold ? Or withdrawn ?

Maybe the price of the K3 does not compare well with this selection ??!!

I have now sent Roland about 20 photos from the magazines about his Parnell.

If anyone else wants any specific information on a particular race entry and result, I will endeavour to find it if I am given the month and year.
