I have just purchased a pair of B nuts and washers (and they are excellent) but when I come to fit then the o/s fits perfectly the nearside - it appears the pillar is from another MMM - probably P type? The thread is 5/16 and there is no serrated edge.

Does this sound to you like a P type version? should I try to modify it or could there be someone out there with a P type with a j2 n/s pillar?
