Just how many 'Octagons' are there on a P-type MG, in original trim including octagonal-shaped components and original works accessories? Handbooks and tools not included.

I keep getting a different answer, as does everyone who has tried to count 'em on PA 0603.

Does any other MMM approach this number?

Any advances on 55 'octagonals' for a supercharged PB? List can be supplied!

Bruce, do I infer from the odd number that you have that fancy PB petrol filler cap?!

Aha! Clever one that!

I'm up to 48 now but then again it's a humble unblown PA ....

How do you guys find the time

Bruce - How about your 'knock-offs'? Not sure whether the originals had octagons on or not.

Peter, my Rudge-Whitworth wheel 'knock-offs' don't have an 'MG' motif, though I believe those fitted to some T Types did.

When I get fed up or too cold to be in the garage I go and make lists of trifles like 'octagonals'.

OK, I got to 55 on my PA - it does have those funny T type (allegedly!) knock-ons, but being a humble lacks the extra dashboard bezels that surround the speedo and clock of a PB - and as it's unblown it lacks two in that department as well.

The total might have been be 56 but that would include the octagon on my tax disc holder, and I suspect that the scorers would say that infriges the rules!

PS "infriges"? Surely it's not that cold yet?

Dick, you and I seem to be the only serious players here ; what's happened to Bob who started it all ?

Who's adjudicating? I think your tax disc holder should be allowed û 56 then !
