Lot 412 in Bonhams (www.bonhams.com) Harrogate sale on November 18th is:

'The 1934 RSAC Scottish Rally and Zandvoort-campaigned 1933 MG K2 Supercharged Magnette Registration MG 2191, Chassis No. K2001'.

Anybody got any comment on the auctioneer's estimate, ú50k to ú60K?

It is a lot less money than what the car has been advertised for during the last couple of years.

At an auction viewing I went to recently every estimate was considerably lower than I would have expected, and the prices obtained somewhat higher... I assume its a technique to generate interest!

The K2 does not seem to have sold... as there is no price noted against the lot post auction. Does anyone know what it was bid to or was it withdrawn prior to the auction?

Thanks... the K2 now offered at ú85,000 which seems to me to be a more realistic price v. the lower auction estimate range. Or should the K2 be even higher?
