Is the NA tachometer face the same as that of a PA but with mph graduations for an 8/39 axle ratio? I have made assumptioms here so please forgive me if I'm talking nonsense.
Maurice, the tachometer faces and instruments are different, the NA and NB had a Smiths magnetic type tacho and the PA and PB had a Jaeger chronometric tacho.
In top gear NA 3000 revs = 47MPH 6000=94MPH PA 3000 revs =44MPH 6000=88MPH
Thakyou Patrick, I was talking nonsense. I have a PA with 8/39 axle and although I don't have the original tachometer I do have a very similar one which requires an appropriate face and had assumed that an NA one would be OK.
