I would like some help with what are probably very obvious points (& probably covered elsewhere already.....

I wanted to replace the U-clamps holding the rear axle to the suspension springs & have now done so. My query is just how much to tighten the U bolt nuts & also the spring clamp nuts. Do I go right up to the end of the threadings or what?
Quite obviously with 1/2 nuts & locking nuts there is no necesity to do so but I do note that all nut/bolt tensions are inter-related.

Also, having renewed the CWP with new items & checked for correct backlash, upon refitting in the cat with new axle shafts & hubs, there is aprox 1/4" free play on the drum ciscumference of one wheel before the other wheel moves.
Is this correct or where is the extra play coming from?
