Jeremy - looks like Perry came third in the 850cc sports class, fortunate for the little J-type that it wasn’t up against its 6 cylinder siblings!

If the light is at the right angle I can se where the drivers door was cut away on J3 3756 before being restored back to a full door.

You may recall that my J2 (JB 877) J2118 has a cut away drivers door which judging from the timberwork is original.
I have no competition history other than it being acquired directly from the factory by eiher Adrian Squire or Reggie Slay and used as their sales demonstrator for Squire Motors - thereby funding Squires racing program. They also bought new & ran the K3 for Manby-Colgrave - a director of Squire Motors - sold the following year to Billy Cotton.
