I have just spoken to Sports & Vintage to see if they had new P type replacement door hinge pins, unfortunetly they do not. Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I have had my old hinges re chromed and they look great but new pins would transform them.

Find a friend with a lathe. They are easy to turn up with a little steel and a lathe.

Otherwise, try one of the suppliers like Paul Beck Vintage Supplies.

As an addition to Lew's suggestion, make the pins out of stainless. I was fortunate to be given some EN57T which is a high tensile stainless - 60 ton/sq", should be OK for door pins! It wears well and takes a good polish so is in keeping with the chrome.
