An old friend who is an inveterate car-boot-sale addict has picked up a copy of The Golden Age of British Motoring, it is co-authored by Kitty Brunell's father and has several shots of her with her F Type and the Scottish trials car. Quite apart from MGs of which there are plenty it shows our countryside probably at the peak of its beauty. I have just bought the last copy off Amazon!

If you have not seen the book do look out for it. It is evocative of the time when our cars were new and the world still relatively unaffected by industrialisation.

Cheers

I have a copy of this and its a super book - but beware of the captions! I have a list somewhere of the errors - millions of 'em!

Cheers,
Graham

Hi Peter, as far as I could tell, your village hasn't changed since the 30's anyway ... no industry as far as the eye could see!

neither have the villagers - most of 'em! Anything faster than a horse brings on apoplexy! Is that how you spell it?

Cheers
